This paper approaches the word “discernment” as an activity that allows someone to renew the mind and heart in daily decision making, articulating the being, thinking and acting, freely and voluntarily, depending on the construction of a life project. Nothing will be possible without internalization and recognition of the capacity that the human beings have to think about themselves and others, even understanding their reality. Discernment, as one’s capacity to recognize the good from the evil, has its proper place and this is the awareness that allows the spirit to rise and fly over the human condition to fnd and strengthen the relationship with God. Hence, to think of discernment and conscience is to recognize that the human being possesses the ability to distinguish the reality he/she faces every day and furthermore to recognize that he/she is always facing a special dimension, as is the spiritual sense; this leads to thinking that discern is not only a human action, but an experience that has to do with the spiritual.
