Abstract

The purpose of this article is to educate people at every stage of their lives, fostering the habit of reading, because it encourages reasoning, critical thinking to make decisions, with capacity and drive, to face the doctrines imposed in academic life and society. Thus, the exercise of reading and philosophizing, apart from the acquisition of new knowledge, leads to a better way of learning, which in turn generates a creative mind, developing and enhancing the cognitive part of human beings according to their age, generating more active, critical and productive citizens.

The habit of reading stimulates the brain causing many intellectual, emotional and physical benefts that are reflected in every situation that arises in life, because it develops both linguistic and assertive communication skills, empathy in social life, to resolve conflicts and make good decisions. Even though reading enables a person to be successfully professional in different areas of knowledge, it also keeps the brain young and healthy over the years.
